Bilstein 5125's w/ Skyjacker 1.5-2" Lift

I have a second gen that is currently lifted. Bilstein 5100's with 2884 coils on front (~1.75") and

$230 Skyjacker TCR515S 1.5-2" Softride Leaf Spring - Pair

Skyjacker TCR515S on the rear with a large axle block. The Skyjackers advertise 1.5-2" of lift and the block another 2" maybe. Honestly, I have a hard time believing that it is lifted that much judging by looks. I can post a picture if that helps.

Long story short, I plan on ditching the rear axle blocks. My question is - with the skyjacker lift only being 1.5-2" and my shocks made for a 2-3.5" lift, will I need to get new shocks or can I stick with what I have? If I stick with what I have, do I need to make any adjustments to bump stops or anything?

 

Your bottom shock mounts on the axle will be about 2" closer to the top shock mount on the frame without the 2" block in between the leafs and axle.
Your 5125 compressed length needs to accommodate this shortened distance. They may still be ok if the rear bump stops are long enough to engage before the rear shocks would top out.
I am doing the inverse of what you are doing and I am underneath with a tape measure to get actual travel ranges and stops rather than use the lift estimates.

 

That makes a lot of sense. Pardon the ignorance. Is there a video, thread, link you recommend to walk me through how to measure my travel? I am currently undoing all of the crappy modifications the guy before me did. So, I want to make sure I do everything correctly lol

You'll need your shock's compressed length or you can measure it while out of the mounts and compressed.
