It can be of limited use to me. For constant focus, down. If I had people gathering around my desk, "up" works to save people bending/looking down.

But it is hard to take a nap standing up.

A friend who was in the military told me a story once. He was in the motor pool not as job but in his daily wanderings. He answered the phone when it rang, turned out to be a colonel or general demanding to know when his vehicle would be finished. He had no answer, and the officer was not happy and made threats about loss of rank and a certain station in Kansas. My friend asked "Do you know who I am?". The officer said "No!". <click>

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
LMAO good eye. I actually had to change that over for just a moment to check the other managers' schedules and see if I'm good to schedule a day off for a tattoo. :spending:

I like it in the sense that the employer paid for it, I didn't have an option before, and it's not cheap lol.

One of these days I'm going to re-do this office altogether and do the real thing, but this gets me by just fine.

The RVs do too. I could have driven even farther up but this gets the point across pretty well. This is with the 11,000lb truck sway bar attached too.

I have this cheap electric stand desk from Amazon. A little small (compared to some of the rigs getting flashed here) but works great and I like having height presets at the touch of a button!
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B6JL4KRT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Edit: just noticed it is out of stock but I paid $159 and looks like there are lots of similar options.

Ok, I'll play. The KOH image, neat desk - nope. Effective - yes. Christmas ornaments made by my daughter (10 years ago, yeah, yeah). Standing nope. But I have stairs to climb every hour. So, sitting is just fine.

If you were in the shop, you might have heard the audible "NOOOOOO!" at one point in the qualifying.

If you were standing at back door during qualifying and had our radio channel on, you would have heard us tell him he was running pole position pace and be careful of the flat tire. Then…….NOOOOO, GDMFPS!?^*€?#$&@!??$&)(??! And other explicits lol.

Haha glad we had a following. It was a good week. Even if our greatest accomplishment is finishing. We are 2/2 years finishing and that’s pretty good track record.

My desk is boring compared to my old work. I used to have a bunch of stupid memes, a framed cross stitch that says "Shut the fuck up Kyle", certificates of completion made by my coworkers for the dumbest crap, drawings and doodles by the now-ex, 3 and 5 shot groupings from my bolt guns, muzzle devices as pen holders, it was a good time and we had an awesome crew that could banter when shit hit the fan but still get shit done.

My new shit is a bit more uptight, but at the same time my take home is flirting with double at this point so I'm not too butthurt. ;)

I have that same laptop. If you ever want to add a second external monitor, this worked really well for me.

Haha. Yeah, happens during sitting. Not the paint worn off though.. just typical shop floor coolant and grime lol I hit it all with the mop every now and then when we do big cleanups around the floor. Been a lot of programming lately.. but today I'll actually be running some legacy parts so I'll probably raise it up since I'll be running around a lot.

Oh @cookiedough we got another new machine the other day too. Hwacheon D2 5 Axis. New home is next to our other few month old Doosan DNM 3 Axis.. we got that and our Doosan DVF 5 axis at the same time back in October. The DVF has a pallet changer too. All 3 are up and running.
