@AllTacosFloat @Brownmatthall , Were you guys talking about going to BHM this weekend or just sometime in the spring or in the future ? I can't make it this weekend, I need to work on This Saturday, But if we can definitely wait a little while and have the client drive out to my house to put on the lift in the spring, that would be best for everyone. If that's what he can do. If not, I still should be able to do 3/2, it's just a really long drive out there

    I also have some interest.

but to be honest I’ve been all about going north this winter. Nearing 20 ski days and hoping to double that

Side note, I was up by Wachusett today - there's F all for snow. I imagine they're having a tough year. I know down here we get next to nothing and I love that, but usually when you get to the I90 Rain/Snow line it kicks off.

    I'm out for this weekend.

Hear me out. March 9 & 10 weekend, the 10th is Daylight Savings, we'd get an extra hour wheeling. Or camping. Or whatever. Or lose an hour camping. Or wheeling.

    I'm an expert.

    Pssssst.

I don't have a use for it but I'll pass it on in case someone does.

I know the getting spot for a rolling 2nd gen, failed for frame, has a 4cyl in it with like 45k miles on it. Dude will let the whole thing go for $1k. Holler at me if you want to know the spot. I poked it. Rig's pretty rough body wise, bed is f'd, rear bumper rotted off, but the motor is real nice and it does have complete systems. Would be a killer trail rig with a bobtail platform bed.

Dammit. That would make life easy to just swap motors. Can't spend that at the moment though

I would if I was still undercoating. It would be worth the extra money to save on the labor

I'm really down for whatever. I'd like to get the lift on as soon as possible - but it has been sitting in my garage since November, so whatever 'soon' means. And before any trip to BHM, but obviously I can work with whatever help is offered to me too. When I posted asking for help, I really didn't anticipate getting much of a response, so I'll really take whatever I can get help wise. I'm not sure where Jared's is - I can't remember what guys I met the last time we had a decent size meet up at BHM.

I'm always down for a trip to BHM. It's just over an hour from my place. I've been several times, and have done most of the park with sliders and 265s. The whole park can be done in a day fairly easily. Last time I was there, I did red trails with some guys, and I was glad I had sliders. I came out with no damage, but my sliders saved me on both stumps and rocks. The park does continue to add and cut more trails, but I really don't think they are looking to be a hardcore off roading experience. Some tough and touchy spots, but a good spotter and 4wd will get tacomas through most of the park. But they do have a nice camping area with grills, and the owners are awesome people. I also can not do the weekend of 3/9, but don't feel you have to plan around me.

It probably won't be til later in spring by the looks of things so no worries there. But yeah fuck it, we'll slap it on 3/2 and you'll at least be good to go I say

All done, I love how it came out. Dont judge my paint job.

I know I am building at least one more, is anyone else interested. I am thinking about building a jig and building more of these if there is interest.

Also open to any constructive criticism from anyone.

    Bumper features
3/8" main plates partially doubled up partially, to hold the tow bar (2.5"x2.5" .25 wall) and to make solid 3/4" recovery points. Compatible with both hard and soft shackles.
    1.75" x .120" wall DOM tube
    All 1/4" Gussets
    Tabs for SSC2's or similar
Weight is around 90 lbs (OEM removed parts should be around 85 lbs)
There will be minor changes in between this first initial prototype and what I would sell. Probably nothing anyone would notice.
This exact one is 2005-2015 but I want to build similar for turd gens.

    Pricing
    Normal price at $1K
    TWers $950
Timing would be Summer 2024 and on
    Not dealing with shipping
