Lol I appreciate it. It's not something you realize and then just turn off. "Well duh, just like, stop worrying and shit!" :p
I still have a long way to go obviously, but I'm learning where the gremlins hide and what they try to get me to do. It's all about starving out the beasts that are used to you feeding them by giving in.:infantry:

What did you do fins n things in? I'm looking at Shafer Canyon, Fins n Things, and Onion creek right now. Have 2 full days and 2 travel in / travel out days. Also thinking about doing some touristy shite like a helicopter ride.

I just did a rough shipping quote and it came out to $85 with the below box specs. Buy them, have them shipped home, wife is non the wiser and you're still coming out ahead.

PS for everyone reading, use Pirate Ship if you ever need to ship anything.

I’ve probably used it 30-40 times, I love it so much. Just recently I had some suspension shipped from the east coast and it cost me $90, retail would have been $150.

You will get there. First step is noticing the problem.

I did it in my black tacoma that I flopped a few years back. Fins n things will scrap the bumper on some of the departure angles. You may be safer in the runner not having all the stuff hanging off the ass like I did. I would say do the tourist shit! Why not? I havent done the other 2 trails yet but fins only took us like 2-3 hours if I remember correctly. You will have plenty of time.

We got a letter in the mail from our HOA yesterday for our weeds. :jpow: This is the first time we've heard from them, maybe they do a neighborhood check this time of year when weeds seem to be prevalent? Either way, I'm pretty surprised. Easy enough to fix I guess. The cherry on top is that we have 15 days from the date of the letter to comply, and it took 13 days to get to us. It was dated 2/7 and we just got it yesterday, 2/20.

Back when I lived in surprise we got a letter saying we changed our yard plants and we needed approval first. We just pulled the weeds that were over grown so they looked like plants. HOA's are stupid. That was one of my biggest points when we bought the new house was that it wasnt in a HOA.

I don't mind some HOA's but I do hear a ton of horror stories. Our HOA in VA was pretty chill, they just used the funds to maintain the landscaping of the neighborhood but that was about it. The tricky part is you might not know how they are before moving, or it might change management or something.

The great irony is the condo we own and aren't responsible for the landscaping I have to email the HOA all the time about how shitty the landscaping is.

Can't wait to move out and rent this place out

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Anyone want to catch me up on the GMRS headsets you all were using for Rug Road?

To hell with my handhelds, they can both be spares for the homies if I can get one of those things! :spending:

We're team non HOA over here - but Preen is a freaking life saver. I put this out at least 2-3 times a year before a good rain comes through, and it spares my back most of the pulling throughout the year.

Get the big ol' bag and put it in your fertilizer cart and call it a day.

I deal with all HOA's up here for work. Some are really cool. But allot are not! And we got a bunch of transplants from our neighbors to the west that over took all the boards and started changing rules or taking long trips and being unreachable to sign off on jobs. But these are all in the big expensive private communities.

I've used that before! I should use it here too, great idea. For now I've just been spraying every few days, starting a week ago. I buy the spray in concentrated form so it costs pennies to do a few applications and kills it pretty quickly. I hate pulling weeds, so I get the obvious ones by hand and spray the rest.

Yes, for sure. You'll have to get on top of those weeds before the preen will help prevent them. But one good day of either breaking your back or putting your knees to better work than a sorority freshman, and then put that stuff out every so often, and you'll have 5% of the weeds that you usually see, throughout the year.

The particular-ass redneck parents learned me to find preventative measures over responsive ones. lol
