What's funny is I just assumed weeds weren't a thing here, since I moved here at the beginning of summer and I hadn't seen any weeds until like a month ago. I figured it was just too hot here for them. Lesson learned.

With the momo steering wheel I have they hand held clips right onto the center and stays put pretty good so I was just pushing the button and talking at my steering wheel. That is obviously not a solution for you. And would actually be more expensive.

@KingOfTheNorth watched me take a handheld to the face on the gatekeeper. I usually try to clip it on the visor (and results are as mentioned).

I do have molle panels on the sides of the lower front console area, but that's also where the pew gets holstered, so it gets cramped in by the leg and isn't easy to reach.

First world problems. Spend more money.

Be careful about the societal awareness of your renter. When I was living in OH, my across-the-street neighbor moved out ... maybe actually sold. The renter invited cuzzin Bubba to park his semi-tractor (not the trailer, but ...) on the street during winter. Snow plows could not clean the street. The owner I think was a company that holds thousands of houses cross-country so did not respond as well as we hoped ... we had to wait until the lease was out and Bubba's family finally had to move.

Renters can still cause you trouble with strict HOAs.

Highly recommend those headsets. Being able to blast music while still being able to hear comms was amazing, and you get another pair of nice ear protection out of it.

Lol speaking of HOA... so 3 years ish ago I was dealing with that big health issue and I was in no shape to be weeding. My legs looked like gross ass watermelons from the fluid retention, I had to use a walker, and the drugs they had me on made me God's angriest potato. Felt like everything around me was running hyperspeed, but on mute, and I was soooo cranky.

Anyways I get a fine from the HOA because my landscape is "not up to standards" and this just sent me because I was getting $150,000 worth of hospital bills in the mail and trying to figure out what was paid for and what wasn't.

I sent a nastygram appeal that said something along the lines of "I just had a stroke and I'm using a fucking walker to get around give me a second to call a landscaper, dick."

In all fairness they rescinded the fine and sent a message wishing me well.

    Still fuck HOAs on principle.:angrygirl:

I have always hated HOAs on principle.

Then the nice family across the street moved out and overnight their house was split into two airBnBs
so even though I am out in the country outside of city limits, just about every weekend its invasion of the idiots.

Its a struggle to stay off the news.

If I move again I would like a Home Owners Agreement, just short list of stupid shit you cant do

The problem with your typical HOA is the people who get in charge are always the last ones you want in charge, but everyone else is busy with life

Yup. Our president is a decent dude and we've got a solid numbers guy but outside numbers he's a complete idiot. The other board members are just as dumb.

The President asked me to do him a solid and fill an empty seat begrudgingly I agreed. I thought it would be not that time consuming mostly high level decisions making sure the condo association stays in a good financial position and keeps dues as low as possible.

I quit after 30 days. 20+ emails a day from the other idiots about pretty complaints and stupid shit. One had a grudge against larger dogs and people who figured out how to beat the rules using the ADA and "service dogs" despite being told no by our attorney she just kept trying to find ways around the ADA and then there was the owner who complained about pick up trucks and not being able to see around them when they backed out of their parking spot.
The HOA rules are way outdated so even the tacoma is considered oversized. When I pointed out that 4/5 board members all had "oversized" vehicles themselves they shut up fast.

Then I quit cause I actually work for a living and nobody but a retired curmudgeon has time for that. BS

That looks nice, that's on my list of to-dos eventually. I have a bunch of shitty gravel in my backyard right now. Really want to put grass in but not enough time and money to get all the shit done I want.

I feel ya on that. My yard was just rocks and weeds. About 7 years ago I got off my ass and worked with the neighbors and built a nice backyard.

That sounds a lot like my HOA. I've been on the board for 5 years (we can't fill seats and I figure somebody has to keep the others in check), and they're all idiots who never learned what the terms "consistency" or "objectivity" mean in their own lives. I did a ton of front yard remodeling over a couple year span, and at nearly every turn required fighting with the board president to make a change (whose favorite thing to do before responding to me was call the other members and get them on her side first).

My absolute favorite example of the hypocrisy is when I submitted a request to extend my driveway to the side 3 feet. The response was "No. We don't want this neighborhood turning into a parking lot". I then responded by saying I expect my neighbor who did it without asking to be served a letter telling him to remove it. 2 years later, another neighbor asked to extend theirs by two feet. I was first to accept the proposal, stating that "while the board has set a precedent to not allow this type of modification, I was not part of that group and I approve". Immediately, I get push back asking what I meant by that and that they didn't see anything wrong with it. (same exact members btw). My response was "So, 3 feet = parking lot, 2 feet = just fine? Good to know, I'll keep that in mind." So, as of today, I just have about a foot of pavers over there and two neighbors have extended driveways.

I don't understand why the driveways here are so narrow. Ours is the exact width of our garage door, and it's damn near impossible to fit two normal size cars in the driveway. It's a large part of why I sold my Tundra.
