I’m actually down. I finally got around to backing off the preload and the truck rides so much f’in better and doesn’t have the cali lean going. CVs angles are also a lot better.

 

I'd say the only things you will need are a 10MM Allen socket,

CRAFTSMAN Hex Bit Metric Driver Socket, 3/8-in. Drive, 10mm (CMMT42679)

and some coolant (I just use the Toyota pink coolant because I have access to it).

One tip I can give you is to use a small amount of lube on the O-rings. You don't want them rolling when you put it back together.

Personally I would say no. There's one spot that is mildly challenging compared to stuff you have done. If you want to go, go for the social aspect of it

 

You'll probably need a thermostat gasket and thermostat housing gasket, unless it takes or you choose RTV or FIPG to go with it as well as what Harry said

 

Most coilovers for these truck have a collar that you adjust up or down to set preload. I basically had the coilovers maxed out. Adjusted it so I have actually have travel in the shock now.

 

That thermostat uses an o-ring around it as the gasket, usually included with the new one. The only part that FIPG is used is the top of the water pump.


As far as the FIPG. Toyota does have one that is strictly to be used when in contact with coolant. It's expensive.

Ah okay I see it in there now. All the aisin thermostats I've bought recently off rockauto needed a separate thermostat gasket since the thermostat doesn't come with one by itself. Looked like that's the case with the thermostat but the timing kit appears to have a gasket in the pic

 

Some do, some don’t. I would double check before ripping it apart.
