Wifey wanted to pan fry and bake elk steak for some steak sammies.. I marinated in olive oil, balsamic vinegarette, lemon, woreshershshire sauce, garlic, salt, pepper. She got distracted or something and cooked the steak to 145

two of the samples were the same little boat, just different times to print. The longer print version seemed a tiny bit finer in appearance, but not by much.
Printed all the samples, ordered more PLA in white and grey, attempting to do a ping pong ball next. Still gotta figure out how to get the file to the SD card. I can save shit, just can't find shit.
Trains and houses/structures should be fairly easy as they are basic shapes. Did the lessons in Tinkercad, still mucking around trying to make a 6 side die with numbers.

 

I got the sliders on yesterday. The most torque I was comfortable applying, after using wd-40, wasn't budging the bolt under the carrier bearing cross member, so I called RCI. They gave me several tips. I used PB B'Laster (followed the instructions), and I bought a pneumatic impact wrench (always wanted one anyway). It came out like butter. It was supper rusty and nasty.

For the front bolts, my skinny armed wifey wasn't around. So, I used a hot glue gun to glue the washer onto a thin scrap of wood, and I used that, while holding on to the bolt, to get the washer on. The washer pulled off from the stick with a good amount of pulling and cussing. Pretty easy. I happened to have a box wrench that fit the bolt, and I hot glued (lightly) the nut into the box wrench. Not that easy, but it didn't take more than two minutes of fiddling to get the bolt threaded on.

Them's my tips for the day. This post reminded me that the hot glue gun is still plugged in. Sigh.

This might take a minute.

 

Ive alway been interested in 3d printing but, thats where its stops.

apparently the software I'm looking for is on the SD card that came with the printer. Some printed instructions with that tidbit of information would have been appreciated. Like a business card size thing that said load this first dummy.

 

Found a video on how to use Anycubic slicer software. Gave him a like.
For some reason my laptop window doesn't show the bottom of the screen, where the "slice now" button is located. Worked around that, saved the file as Gcode, did a couple different models and saved them as well.
Loaded machine, nothing on the card. crap.
More googling, format SD card, mine does not have the setting for FAT32, just exFAT, wtf is that? and why? try again, go thru process 2nd time, AND this time also saved the same files to the SD card that came with the machine.
Newly formatted card still shows nothing. crap. Will come back to that later, might be because it was in a GoPro. I don't know. Might just order another from Bezo's and move on.

Card that came with it DOES show files properly.
Started printing smallest of the models to see what happens.

 

Made a tiny whistle, and it works! I feel somewhat empowered.

Trying a ping pong ball next.
