    maybe sticky this..

I time sporting events and have a wind gauge. Attempted to make it wireless but serial over wifi is spotty. Found a nice little adapter but needed a mount for it.

That is so cool. I’d love to see a model of a WW1 Sopwith Camel bi-plane like the one my Cousin flew (with number 91 on the side)

I'm printing out a Saturn V model. I was attempting to print the black parts for stage one (bottom of photo below) and the parts were knocked over by the control wires about 90% in.

I made a bracket to prevent this but it looks like it didn't work. Try - Try again.

Was trying to print one of these:
    https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1065906
(large flat parts for my wife’s loom)
But ended up stopping the print after the raft peeled up:

Going to try again tomorrow, and I’m going to clamp the raft down this time.

Pre heat the bed and just before you print spray the whole bed with hair spray. I'm not kidding, it really helps it to stick to the glass bed.

I just started printing a drag chain on my mini to fix the problem on my A8 in the posts above.

9 hours for 16 links, 35 are needed. Plus the two end pieces. Also 100% infill.

Just realized I never replied (the card reader that came with my Ender 3 died, and I suddenly had no way to get files to the printer >_< ). esun pla+, 210 deg C on the extruder, 60 on the bed. Tried 65 on the bed but it didn't help.

beer mug failed after 4 attempts. base would not stick good enough despite hair spray, textured side and bed temp.

Make sure your print head is close enough to the print surface when it's homed. Sometimes getting it a bit closer than recommended works better. TBH, PETG sticks really well - common complaint is that it stick too well.

Did you try cleaning the print surface really well with rubbing alcohol? Wet with rubbing alcohol and wipe clean with a new paper towel, don't let it dry by evaporating.

Another thing that works really well. Take an elmers glue stick, draw a big "Z" moderate to light pressure - enough to see it as a smear, but not a solid smear on the black print surface. Then wipe it off with rubbing alcohol - don't wipe it off too well. The idea is that the rubbing alcohol softens the glue residue and puts down a thin film on the build surface. Much more effective than hairspray. Usually only needed for hard to stick stuff like ABS.

Um.. is what you're doing food safe? Yes the filament can be, but the layers leave lots of places for bugs to hide.
