Question, for you all who are more familiar with the technicals involved before I start down this trail…

So after doing some testing, I in have concluded that I in fact have a dead cylinder in my 05 TRD Sport 4x4 .
So a motor swap seems to be the most efficient route currently being still displaced from hurricane Ian and not back home with my garage / work space where I would prefer to rebuild myself over time in my driveway, but hey I probably shouldn’t even be alive right now - that’s another post for later on to share with you all - Basically my Tacoma was my life raft and was worth every blood sweat and tear, so we’ll worth the build thus far.

    Two questions …
    1) Is it possible to perform a V8 motor swap?
If so, which years and models should I look for?

    2) For a straight up V6 swap, any recommendations on where to start with online and or more local shops?
*Keeping in mind I’m down here in SW Florida .
