Getting work done! Finally cut down all of the trees in the center circle. Now I need to dig out the stumps, level the land, spread grass seed and plant fruit trees.

That's interesting, but can you reexplain what you're doing here and why?

Naturally my puller bolts aren't long enough.

I can take a hint. I'm done for the day.

sure! we talked about this in here a while back. its just now becoming reality.

the porch which is 8x24 is back filled with pea gravel. this left about 3'of gravel pushing in/down on my basement wall, which has no lateral support. this started opening up a inside motar seam in my basement.

basement people came & i beamed the walls with springs so that it wouldnt come in any more. it hasnt.
Engineer came & said the only way to get that wall back out is to take the porch off.
the porch foundation was already moving anyway... falling away from the house...

initially we were gonna tear the porch off & put a new composite deck on.
my wife decided she wants to keep that concrete porch....
Engineer returned & said to use those 2 beams (he spec'd em) to hold it up with 10 screw jacks.

thats what im in the process of doing now.

then it will be about hand digging a narrow trench against the wall of the house to relief the pressure & let the wall go back to its original place.

then long term: the porch is a floater with a new skirt around it. gonna take all spring/summer i think.

Ok, that makes more since. I know you'd talked about the project, but I don't think I'd seen a picture of what you were trying to accomplish before.

I never checked, I just ordered a 10 pack when I bought the sander.

The belts seem to last a good while.

I did buy the " erasure" stick that cleans the belt grit. I think that $6? Was a good investment.

Fwiw, the sander does an amazing job sharpening knives...as long as your up close vision is decent.
