20210226_191508.jpg Built a few variations of the rocket stove this winter while the shop was slow. I'm looking forward to testing them all out. Anyone else into these?

20210531_195410.jpg was gifted this one. It works great, and very lightweight

Looks good. I want one but I have zero use for it other than having a thing for fire type stoves. :bananadead:

Yeah, I look at a lot of the stuff in the garage/shed and there is a lot of money sitting there in pieces and parts for ideas I just had to see if I could make (proof of concept for some semi-retarded idea I got in my head). I've probably got half a dozen penny/alcohol stoves sitting on a shelf that have only been fired up once just to see if they worked; I have never actually tossed one in my pack. I've got at least three fire pistons that I made from copper stub outs after reading an article about making them in Backwoods Home Magazine; the list goes on, and on, and... :facepalm:It's a sickness I tell ya. :help:

    Old thread, but needs reviving.

I built this rock at stove from a pair of old boat seat pedestals.

The air door also serves as the clean out door and it has a removable shaker grate that runs the full length.

It has a pot stove on the chimney and a warming plate to keep your coffee cup hot.

This photo was taken before I welded the handle on to the shaker grate.

I built this one from the shock absorber off an old Silverado, and the case of a small chinese refrigeration compressor.
