Only rain here in Cranston today. It was snowing on my way to Chepachet though.

 

16” of heavy, wet snow and still coming down. Snapped the plow frame today. Internal rust.

1910 power customers in my town. 1910 with no power.

 

I have probably a foot in concord. Still no power too. Tons and tons of trees down in the road

 

I didn't notice it, but everyone saying we just had an earthquake in New England

 

Is anyone in SW NH?
On 12, south of Fitzwilliam there's a pellet place that throws out broken up pallets up for grabs.
Anyone know if that's still going on and if they do it through the winters?

I felt it in providence. Building felt like it was shaking for a good 10 seconds at least

 

I can get whole pallets here easy enough, but that place has them broken down, so a bed full is VERY densely packed for firewood. Thank you though!

I didn't notice it at the time, but they're doing road work, and I'm right by the road where trucks drive by, so I might have felt it and didn't know

I can't tell you what a game changer this was for me. With a little practice you can knock a pallet down completely in about a minute. I have a super heavy duty one that I used to knock down a half dozen BIG pallets (made of 4x4 and 2x6 white oak, 15 feet long and 8 wide) in about an hour.

 

I only get them as firewood on the way to VT camping, not as a regular practice, but thank you!

 

IF you are in need of Pallets, Like I said, I have about 30 of them in my backyaard that you can come and grab if you want before you head up north.

 

I'm going to swing by a place in the AM that has broken down pallets.

This place in Fitzwilliam has them all broken down so it's just a nice dense pickup bed full of wood. Full pallets I could fit maybe 5 or 6 in my bed. Broken down I could fit.....20? 25? That's why I like that place in NH.

I loved the free wood, but holy crap all the kiln fired rusted nails...

 

Fire pit outside, we're going camping this weekend for the eclipse, it's going to be cold. Caveman want fire for warmth.

You in need of pallets? It’s something I throw away often. I have quite a few in Lawrence anytime

 

Nah just this weekend and this place in NH has them broken down, so they compact and fit a lot more wood than a pallet in the bed. I can get them at work/etc, but would have to break them down. I have no time between now and camping to do that
