CMC in Ottawa/Eastern Ont-ish area?

…or even GTA, western Quebec? I had a guy in Ottawa who did a great job CMC on my FJ years ago but he’s long since retired. Looking to get a clean CMC on my ‘23 Taco Pro, anyone know of a good shop?

I’ve asked around a few local shops and all I get are blank stares….

I just had mine done by Beast Offroad in Scarberia. It's a smaller cut and plate than I was expecting but everything's clearing so far. Did it for $400. No idea about the Ottawa area.

 

At that price, better off relocating it.

 

That's by far the best price I was quoted, and I called almost every 4x4 shop in the GTA. Most places wanted $600+

 

Think I paid $4-500 plus the relocation kit.

 

Do you mind share who/where? did you use the DRT kit?

I used a local guy Ferguson Metal Works, his name was Jason. Came to my house, and did it right in my driveway for me.

 

Do you have pics of the work that he did on your truck? As I now contemplate 35s, the relocate kit may be a better option.....

Any pics of the job they did and/or build thread pics that you can point to? I'm also considering a mount relocation as well....just do it once as I can see 35s in my future as well.

Sooooo.....to close the loop on this, I actually got my local shop (whom I've dealt with for 25 + years) to do the CMC (plus lift, etc)....and they did a fantastic job. I sent my tech a few YT vids and he said, "No problem!"

It was his first Taco CMC but it turned out great. A little pricey but after I factored in a trip to the GTA, it made sense to do it locally. Plus, if I have any warranty work issue, I don't have to make a trip to Toronto! Lol Although the guys at Sumin seem good as well....answered all my questions.

If anyone in the NCR needs a CMC, I can hook you up.
