    Agree :fistbump:

I like to think the shop is on a quiet back street of TW, somewhat removed from the mainstream.

Everyone is welcome and many stop by but only the folks who seem to share the same appreciation for a job well done -- and the same general values, tend to stay around.

Y'all are the most enjoyable group of folks I have never actually met.

    Can verify.

When I built the wall around the patio, we got all 7 holes dug then it decided to rain a bit.

    Patio.jpg

It took an entire week of shop vaccing the holes out every few hours before they were dry enough to dig out the clay that had filled in. That was not the least bit entertaining.

Excavated the long side of the house right down to the footings. 27 loads of wet clay to a nearby location. Day before I was to lay the new weeping tile it rained so another 9 more loads c/w tears. Clay needs teflon shovels….never again.

There's no way I could dig holes like that easy in my yard. Every darn inch you go down there's a different rock. I've re-dug my mailbox 3 times already due to idiots and the rocks are still there. :annoyed:

Guess I'll have to get one of those gas powered augers for the fence...

I hit rock in all 3 holes I dug yesterday, one was pretty big but I got it out with a hammer and a tire tool. It'll just take more concrete to fill it in. I know there are plenty more :smash:

Good morning friends!!!! Hope you all have an awesome day :hattip:

What is the key to clearing your brain so you can sleep? No matter what project I do, I wake up multiple times a night thinking about it. This morning I woke up at 3:30 thinking about what I'm going to do next on the deck and couldn't go back to sleep. If I wouldn't wake the wife and kids up I would have went out and worked on it :anonymous:

Happens to me all the time. No matter what I try and do my mind just keeps going and going. There's various methods out there that claim to calm the mind, but nothing ever works for me.

    Good morning Wrenchman :hattip:

The town brought my excavator back and I decided a backhoe might be handy too. ;)

This is something I have fought with it all my life... :pout:

I sleep better (ish) in the summer when I run a small fan - I concentrate on the fan whenever I wake up.
Well, Mrs Green is always cold so isn't a big fan of the fan.

A few months ago I got this small white noise machine, less than $20 on AMZ, initially I set it to a fan noise which was nothing special. After a few days I set it to a train wheel sound, when I wake up I concentrate on the train and imagine I'm in a sleeper car crossing one of the flat mid-west states.

For the $20 it might be worth a try for you. :notsure:

We have a noise machine from when Cole was a baby, we still use it......mainly for me, lol. Couple years ago the wife and kids stayed at the lake with the inlaws, I was working on putting new siding on the store so I came home that Sunday evening to work on it that Monday which was a Holiday, only me in the house and turned that noise on :D

I don't know if I've gotten used to it or what, my mind just keeps thinking about what I have to do, no matter what that may be.
