attempted to add boots to the icon shocks. may have to cut a little more around the offset lower mount so boot sits straight

Worked through some of the backlog of stuff I've been meaning to do!

Replaced the bubbled charging pad, JB welded the new pad to the charger to hopefully stop it from bubbling up again. Dont need the charging anyways--
    upload_2024-4-25_16-56-15.jpg

Swapped out the factory e-brake and shifter boots with some nice ones from Redline. Also finally put in the MGM cup surround to complete the meso chrome delete. The rest of the kit has been installed for a few years now :anonymous:

And finally, showed some love to the doorsills with some OEM protectors

Good Stuff on the 303 mentioned here.

One CV boot had me worried big time. I’m not sure what got caked on, but it wasn’t looking good. Saw the 303 mentioned here and Bam! Not only did it clean it without anything other than wiping it off, hopefully it will give it some longevity also. Sprayed the control arms too.

    True, BUT.....

If you are warm, and desire to be cooler, having the ability to set the temperature of the air blowing on you goes a long way towards "feeling comfortable".

On mt 2021 Access cab with dual climate controls, "My side" is 68 in winter. Her side is 76. The overall cab temp is very likely 71 or 72. ;-)

This is precisely the reason I want it. Still not sure if they are interchangeable though.

Tell them it better be OEM! they should paint it and then call you when it’s ready. I cringe at anyone touching my truck in the service dept.

At-205 in a small spray bottle will do your undercarriage rubber components some good. I spray mine annually to help with aging and grime.

5100 Bilstiens today. Raised the front 1".
20240425_161021.jpg Next! Should I have it installed or do it myself? It says about one to one and a half hours to install. For me that means one to one and a half DAYS.

Do it yourself. You’ll also need some beer to keep you well lubricated.

Is the active ingredient MEK or acetone? Something like that I am sure.
It makes rubber parts swell and go flabby with time.

But hey! If it works for what you want, Go for it!

I could have used that today, Hope it comes tomorrow, or the re-bar is just gonna sit.

I bought my truck new 8 years ago and it now has 72k miles so I thought it was time to have the spark plugs changed. I checked with my dealer and they wanted over $600 to do it. I remember when I could buy spark plugs for $1.99 each and do the whole job for around $12.00. Even after my military discount it was still just over $100 for just the plugs. It is incredible how things have changed. Then I got my tools out and did the passenger side in just under an hour with no major problems. Then came the driver side and it took my old body around 3 hours. I had to remove the driver side tire to get to the 2 lower bracket bolts and proceeded to break off one of the wheel studs in the process. I noticed that my Wilwood brake pads need replacing so I will be ordering them tonight and then attempt to also replace the broken stud if I can. I am over 70 now and my whole body is hurting. Thankfully, I will be replacing my truck with a new 4th gen truck after they work out some of the initial problems. IMG_1149.jpg IMG_1151.jpg

Installed a softopper I picked up off FB.

I had a Bakflip MX4 before, going to rebuild it.

Also did a light viper cut so I don't rub the 285s up front.

Been doing it for years on my 17 y/o Corolla, just a small spray, everything is still in good shape and I live in the rust belt. Still have the original drive shaft boots with no cracks or tears. I do it in the summer when the rubber is already swollen a bit. A little wool wax over some rubber won’t hurt either. The brine out here will get to everything if it’s not protected.
