I gave up on Toyota spin on filters for my Tacoma's long ago.

They use the same filter my Kohler mower engines use.

Whatever is on sale is fine with me.

I normally use Baldwin or Hastings (same filter). Shows a B33 which is the 4967 equivalent that also fits Kawasaki engines. Some reason that filters shows up for the 2022 but not the 2023 which is the same car/engine. Odd.

I ran the B7020 on the 4.0 V6's, which also fit the Kohler/Briggs engines... I have two of them left over and can't use them on my current mower with a Kohler due to the steering linkage in the way. :annoyed:

Actually @koditten if you want them, just shoot me a PM with your address. I also have some fatter ones that is the correct thread and gasket size. They're doing no good sitting on my shelf.

I used to buy the K&N filters for $13, but several years ago I found a deal on a case of OEM Filters. In a few more years I’ll have exhausted my supply and will have to buy some more. It sucks that they are getting so expensive but the filters is not the place to cheep out. Oil will last a long time if it is kept clean though a good filter. They are not cheap but I also recommend getting some filter magnets to pull the fine metal bits out of the oil before they clog the filter or worse get through a hole in a bad filter.

Is there a cheaper option? Seems kinda pricey for a magnet. Although a motor isn’t cheap either…

They were a bit less expensive when I bought mine years ago, but you could probably DIY something similar for less.

Alright. So, Wednesday night around 830p, close to dark, i was around front on the driveway, putting up my table saw for the night.
We have a Clubman electric golf cart that we use for a farm cart. Has a flatbed that hauls tools, seed, etc.
My wife was on the side of the house putting bags of dirt and fertilizer (triple 17) on the back to haul to the shed. She had a little bag of something and tossed it into the seat. The dog was sitting on the seat as well.
Well, right when my wife was getting on (she told me this as I had no clue) the little bag slipped off the seat and fully depressed the go pedal. My wife was flung back and as she was reaching for the wheel (she only had one leg in the cart) it hit a bump, went hard right, threw my wife ass over teakettle through the yard. It then travelled about 50 more feet before striking my outbuilding right in the crack of the double door.
I heard a loud explosion! BAM!!! And went running, only to see my wife lying in the yard and the farm cart trying to push over my building. Rear wheels just spinning in the pine straw.
Val was bruised and skinned, no breaks. She is still sore!
Farm cart has a bent upper control arm, lower arm and tie rod. Still drivable.
Building took me about five hours yesterday to sort out the doors. I hand built it (my design) and did not even budge an inch. Doors were pushed in and jammed. So much so My six foot slate bar wouldn't pry them apart. So, I started removing the hinges. Screws had so much tension that as soon as I loosened up the last screw per hinge it would shear off.
Farm cart was mostly fixed today with a torch and a hammer. I had a tie rod end.
So, wife is sore, building is fixed and farm cart runs. That was my weekend lol.
This morning at church during the joys and concerns, I voiced my joy that my wife was not severely injured in her accident. All the people came up to her after church lol.
