In Oklahoma that truck would be sold same day for $7,000. They’re getting hard to find here

I agree that color matching the tailgate might be worth the money to help obtain an elevated sale price.

I had planned to do that when I first replaced the tailgate, but the dark green was a stealthy mismatch and most people wouldn't catch the difference at first glance.

When I was shopping for my tacoma, my biggest concerns were the typical: no rust on frame, no signs of major wrecks, regular maintenance items, leaf springs not completely blown out, and all suspension items in working order. Obviously little stuff like ball joints and CVs can be replaced for fairly cheap, but it just shows care was taken of the vehicle if maintenance items were always taken care of . If there's anything like that you can do easily, I think it helps. But yes, matching paint is helpful otherwise it looks like there was an accident.

There is a distinct advantage to that tail gate........much less likely to get stolen...

and if it did it should be easy to track down on social unless they garage or chop it...

Wont get you a dime more unless you sell the ideal....:oldglory:
