my head unit has two USB dongles, one for apple and one for android. Simply ran from the back of the HU just above the pedals and squeezed it out between the pillar and the dash.

I recently put a new red cord in there.

    Guys,
Why are you using the 1” / 25mm Ram Ball Mount?
    When there’s a 1” / 25mm WITH a 6mm x 35mm long tread attached to the ball already?

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLRKTM8V?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

I used it to mount my ScanGauge III, excuse the messy garage & the truck still apart working on finishing up the interior mods. The arm I used was this one because it’s all aluminum & stainless hardware. I removed the wing nut and used 5mm 304 Allen pan head bolts with nylon locknuts. I’m not going to adjust the ScanGauge location but if I needed I put a 3mm allen wrench in the truck just incase.

I used a 6mm flanged 304 stainless nut and tightened the ball & nut together. If you needed more length I found a little aluminum spacer. You can see the spacer in the photo below, just put the spacer between the nut & ball.
IMG_1156.jpgThe sun visor can be flipped down without touching the ScanGauge

Oh, I’m working on a cell phone mount but it’s going to be attached to the side view mirror on the door.

I finally came up with a phone mount. It attaches to the drivers mirror. That was the part that took me forever to mark the hole and drill it into the plastic cover. The door and a lot of the interior is pulled because the truck is getting painted soon and I’m pulling the door handles to paint.

    Parts used!
***Edit*** I ended up going to the next size longer on the extension arm. I believe it’s 3 3/4” long. This moved it away from the window and up out of the way of the AC outlet. And in the Phoenix area trust me you need AC‼️

Just want to day this is one of my favorite mods. Makes my driving experience so much more enjoyable.
Big thank you to @motionridr8 for hooking me up with the hardware. Such a good guy.
The hardware that came with my ball order (part# ram-b-367u) guaged too big. I bought some extra washers and nuts. The install was so easy and makes my driving very safe and comfortable.
    See my pictures below from the parts I ordered to my finished product Screenshot_20250211_102215_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20250211_102316_Gmail.jpg Screenshot_20241218_110450_Chrome.jpg image000000 (2).jpg image000000 (1).jpg image000000.jpg
