Current game plan is get black car engine installed and out of my way. White car getting engine pulled, rust and a few holes in engine bay fixed, and engines getting torn down for new BC rods, RCF titanium intake valves, new springs, and Kelford -b cams. Might have the heads ported/flowed. Not increasing valve size.

 

Aluminum rear knuckles with rav4 v6 bearings. 5.5 lbs less per side. And much easier bearing swaps. Front will happen soon, as well as big brake kit. Original knuckles going on the black 1993 since I need to swap hubs.

in other news. i have kelford - b cams, currently installing the new intake manifold, new tundra throttle and MAF pipe. just waiting on the new flashed ecu for the larger 3.5" MAF. goals by end of month to tear the engine out though, swap in some BC rods, put in the cams, and clean up the head ports. we're aiming for as close as possible to 400 wheel.

 

This engine officially looks like a race car engine LOL

Ok. I have to start posting photos somewhere else apparently. Uploaded to TW.. new billet knuckles in the front to compliment the rears, big ol 2 piece rotors, wildwood 4 piston calipers front and rear, extra rear Caliper for parking brake. Also have an adjustable prop valve now. This cars really doing well

I also needed the brakes for my 98 mr2 since it’s missing its whole brake system… once you price out the factory shit used with new pads and rotors (good ones) it’s already half the cost of this kit.. so may as well upgrade the main one and give the scraps to the side hoe

 

new control arms with engineering freely spherical bearings instead of bushings are here. going to get them installed new week. cars first auto cross (and my first) at the tire rack test track on the 22nd and 23rd....

 

My GRC is almost due for 6mos/5K service. Do you have guest tech privileges in say, Terre Haute?

If not, I'm doing it myself. Nobody else I'd trust with it.

I'm still lovin this car at almost 6 months in. It makes me smile every time I walk into the garage.
