Hey, y'all, I have a 2012 V6 4x4 TRD Sports crew cab and I too have the nightmarish spongy brake, faulty master cylinder situation. Seeing from the Forums, I think this is a common problem.

the brakes are spongy and go all the way down to the floor, the brakes won't do very well unless I pump the pedal several times for it to stop properly. I have the following questions regarding this situation.

    1. I have a guy who quoted me for one OEM MC from a 2006 crew cab. Will it fit into mine? And is it any better or worse than buying the Non OEM rep part

    2. I have also read that it may be possible to replace the MC with a Tundra one. What do you guys think about the swap and if so, What model Year Tundra Should I look for?

    3. Do you guys have any other ways to solve this Issue? Please let me know.
