Anyone have an awning set up that covers the rear of the truck?
    Tailgate or cap, either one.

I want ideas to cover the door that we access the back of the truck.
I've seen the 270 degree setups.

    Thanks.

I've got a couple. The main one I use was sold as some sort of "tailgater" awning and has Velcro loops to attach to the roof rack and came with some poles and guy lines. It was longer than I needed so I cut it to about six or eight feet and added more grommets to make it more adjustable. It and the poles and guy lines/stakes ride in the back of the truck. I've got one of the Keltys (I think they called it the Carport) somewhere too but it's lightweight so it doesn't do well in wind and the window cover is on the inside so if it rains it just leaks everywhere (works as a sunshade though). When I had my VW Westy I just clamped a tarp to the rain gutter and adjusted as desired.

With all of the homemade "solutions" I've made over the years it'd have been cheaper and easier to have just bought an ARB. :anonymous:

I have an ARB off the driver side.
    The rear presents several problems.

I don't have a rack to attach it to.
The rails, that I have the thule and awning on, don't present a way to attach the 4 ft ARB awning. I would like that one if ....

I found the Kelty Waypoint. Looks promising.

Also Slumberjack Roadhouse. It has 2 poles.

Here’s my SJK roadhouse. It’s pretty easy to set up. You can also do an A-frame setup in heavy rain to shed water better.
