It's bright and sunny AF here on the coast so I'm not sure if it lights up but the listing said it does. Yeah man, sorry you paid 120 but honestly just enjoy it because the auto up/down is amazing!

Oh it is, for sure. And I do enjoy it. And that wasn't necessarily a complaint on the aftermarket product....but if I had known, ya know :)

I saw the same post and thought the same thing. The I read the post again and his first statement is about the front bumper but his next statement is about installing mud flaps and that is why he shows the rear of the truck.

If it does light up, does it look out of place without blue lights elsewhere? I wish it was white like the rest of the dash lights

About to pull the heads off tomorrow and throw on some new head gaskets. Had to wait for my buddy's bi hexagonal bit for the head bolts. Biggest job I've ever done on an engine, great resources here and around the internet.

    minor tweaks
Coolant was coming out the weep hole in the water pump and starting to get worse.

Truck's got 150K, it's been weeping awhile. The spin dried coolant was like a rock coating.

Pulled it apart cleaned everything up and swapped out the fan clutch, it didn't really need it but there's a new one in there.

While it was getting a new pump and thermostat I threw in new main hoses, idler pulleys and a Nachi double wide bearing in the tensioner. None of the pulley bearings were shot enough to have play but it's quite a bit quieter now sitting there idling.

It went back together really nice, no drama. It's always run at 185~186 degrees as read through the OBD, after the work temps were exactly the same.

Did you pop off the trim piece or pull the door panel?

Is there still a good Toyota place to order color matched grilles from that is reasonably priced?

After 90k miles I put new 5100 Bilsteins on all around. Chose the .85" (2nd circlip groove) on fronts and gained 1.25" front lift w/OEM springs. It reduced the 'rake' look making the truck appear level and well planted. I rarely load the bed heavy and the alignment technician assured me the truck would still track well and handle safely. The new shocks were IMMEDIATELY obvious as the ride over speed bumps and street potholes were less jarring. IMG_6312.jpg IMG_6169.jpg
