    which wet/dry shop vac recommendation?
Think its time to throw a few bucks $100'ish+ at a decent shop vac.
Mostly car detailing & odd minor jobs cleaning around the house i guess.
I overthink some of my purchases as feel those who have experience with various brands & models the decision would be clear where one shines over the others inregards to suction / performance...
What do you have, experiences, good & bad...
Want current info, your 10 year-old+ craftsman probably is very different than whats available today...
Ive watched u-tube videos, etc, I know the responses here will be all over the place, but entertaining none the less..
Considering Vacmaster, Rigid I guess even though im not overly impressed, Bauer, etc..
    nothing against rigid,
I was just hoping my Home Depot would’ve actually had them on display since they’re such a huge brand and the detailing world…
seen some good reviews on current craftsman's, etc...
    Thoughts, advice?
I do have a cheap small hypertough walmart vac dedicated for the pellet grill...
Just feel I want some power behind this new one...
Also seen some pretty cool wall mounted 5 gallon 5 hp shop-vacs made by both vacmaster & craftsman, with 20 foot hose...?
Yeah, im all over the place, overthink my purchases.
    Set me straight!

In theory these 2 look really appealing to me as my condo has a 1 car garage & this will just be permanently mounted on the garage wall at the door entrance to enter the garage...
may loose some suction due to 20 foot hose, etc...
Im also open to just more traditional style, or both options....
Yes, im all over the page as usual....

    $100 at COSTCO.

I've been very satisfied so far.

Suction is average-to-strong, not extreme. Noise level is average for a shopvac. Hose length is adequate for open use around a shop, but a bit short for auto detailing. I bought a 15'-long 3rd-party extension hose which makes it much more usable for vaccing out the truck cab. Power cord is on the shorter side, I use a good 12-gauge extension cord with it.

Haven't used it for any wet-vaccing but it should do fine, it's the canonical, standard wet-dry design. Stainless steel bin is a nice touch.

Oh that looks real nice. Ignore my suggestion. That wasn’t around when I bought mine. Even comes with the better hose. Lots more accessories. Stuff I bought after!

My Ridgid is several years old and has held up quite well. Keep the filter clean (in any unit) will keep suction strong.

And don't forget to remove the filter when sucking up lots of liquid. I worked on a massive pipe leak once and filled the unit about every 6-7 minutes vacuuming saturated commercial carpet.

I use the exact one in the video above, with the filter and I use bags also. I purchased the the detailing kit from Rigid which includes the longer orange hose along with some suction accessories. Would recommend.
