I just got a ‘24 limited a few days ago. So far I have had a few issues.

    1. I cannot set custom drive mode settings, they appear on the infotainment screen but cannot be changed from normal.

    2. The MID gauge cluster will not remember my settings after a restart. For instance I will have tire pressure and trip B set to display on one of the three screens. After a restart it will revert to pretty much anything it wants and I have to keep resetting it.

    3. The HUD position keeps resetting itself to the lowest it can go and I cannot see it.

    4. Also, there appears to be a visual defect in the windshield that looks like vertical lines, these cause distortions in my field of view.

of course I will be taking it to the dealer when I have time.

Has anyone else ran into these issues or found a fix?

    thanks.

    Dealer not helpful?

While it could be user error, it could also be warranty work.....

Keep on your dealer to make things right. In 2016 I had to show my dealer post #350 on this TW link that there was a Trip Meter random reset TSB. Had to have my Combo Meter replaced under warranty. Been working perfectly ever since.

The mid cluster issue is a common problem with these trucks and other toyotas that use a similar cluster. It doesn't seem to like the tire pressure displayed.

Having the same mid cluster problem. It will not stay fixed. Specifically, on TPMS and a few others also. I took mine in to have a couple of accessories installed. Explained the problem, so they supposedly "reset" everything and explained I just didn't set it correctly.
Couple of months later, it wont stay set, after dozens of tries.
It is very clearly a software issue, hopefully not in the hardware.
I work in the industry for another manufacturer in the quality division and I am very adept at setting up these types of systems. Hopefully at some point they do what is right and push a software update or fix the hardware and correct this problem.
It is not a customer training/awareness issue.

I have mine set to compass and boost Guage. My number 2 is L/100 and the angle pitch thing. And the 3rd is tire pressure and boost Guage. For some reason the tire pressure on 3 changes to a timer it's strange it's happened 3 or 4 times now. But that's the only one

What about custom drive mode? Are you able to change the settings for it?

it's a manual so I don't think it has that. I don't think there is a sport mode either or at least I couldn't find one

I have a manual 'SR. The Dial on top of the 4wd select will change drive modes, eco normal and sport.

So I havent worked on many 24 tacomas, but when the 19 Rav4 came out we had the exact same complaint.

The solution was to disconnect the batter for 5 minutes and it always always fixed it. Settings would be remembered after.

boost? Just under max, which is probably 13.5-14.5.

but seems Toyota has it cut off boost in the first two gears. I almost never register boost even when giving it some juice.

Mine won’t keep TPMS displayed either. Common issue so far. I can live with it for now and at least still access it every now and again when needed.
