I’ve been looking for a high clearance rear bumper with a swing out myself and I think there’s only one that had BSM cutouts….not sure how well it functions, also it looks like a gimmick bumper.

From what I’ve read many mfgs are not willing to incorporate that safety system and be liable for any short comings.

Mounting the sensors is very different from whether the sensors work in the aftermarket steel bumpers.

There’s only three four bumpers that currently offer bsm “compatibility”; Buckstop inc, fishbone off road and apogeee off road (+chassis unlimited apparently)
None of them have swing outs because the hinges would sit in the outside corners where the bsm sensors are mounted, although apogee claimed to be working on something a long time ago. Not sure if that project was scrapped or not

Don't forget Chassis Unlimited's Octane rear bumper. It doesn't have swing outs, but does have BSM and parking sensor cutouts...

Just ordered one from them. They price matched, then beat Extreme Terrain's price of $1399!

    Wow thanks for sharing!
I always confidently state how few there are on threads like this in hopes that someone will correct me with a product I’ve never heard of so I can add it to the list!
The angle on those BSM sensors looks way off to me. Be sure and update us when you get it installed

That's exactly how they're mounted in the stock bumper. They are side looking, to see in your blind spots.

I’m not sure what you mean. The four brands mentioned above use plastic covers over the sensors which are mounted in cutouts
I just meant the angle. I’m aware they are angled but the in pics on the site, they look much more obtuse than the other exposed sensors I’ve seen. Could just be my imagination

I have the (discontinued) 4WP rear bumper and had the covers off last week. The sensors are at at least a 45* angle to the centerline of the truck. I saw those pictures and get the impression that it's just camera angle that makes it look funny.

That’s what’s up! That one used to be on my list until it was discontinued. Never had any issues with the BSM after install?
I’ve only ever seen initial impressions of any of these, aside for the $2.5k apogee, and I always wonder if they continue to work long term. The DIY BSM calibration is a super involved process from what I’ve seen.
The only one I’m seriously looking at is the $700 fishbone offroad, shipping to AK is nuts, but I’ve only seen a single post/review on it

I haven't had problem 1, worked perfect from initial install. The bumper wasn't in the budget until it went on closeout, then I made adjustments. Glad I did, because the stock bumper wouldn't have done this:

So sick… I always love to see your ride, but action shots are that much better. This looks like it was a blast!
    Thanks for the info

That place is such a gem and in a great spot, where it's accessible to anyone in WI in just a couple of hours.
