I have a 2022 trd offroad with already a bed light installed and will be installing the oem tailgate lock. I just got the alucab contour canopy with brake light and interior lights. What would you recommend to purchase so I can hook both up but also an option for quick disconnect when I need to remove the canopy. Is there any photos of how the installation looks like? I am not familiar with the flanges, etc.

    thanks

Thanks I had a look at that but there are a few options and I don’t see the one for both the dome light as well as the brake light. Also after reading more it seems there is another for the oem tailgate lock?

Thanks for your reply. Locking mechanism for the canopy you mean? If so, no it is only manual key. So I think I don’t need the full tag. Sorry I am an electrical newbie. For the quick disconnect will flange option work?

    thanks.

Flange is my personal preference but any 3 way disconnect will work. Cheapest option is to DIY with some T harnesses as needed. What I make is a bit more overall help for those who like the concept.

Sorry just wanted to confirm which harness to get if I am also installing the oem tailgate along with the canopy interior light and brake light? To confirm the alucab does not have auto lock option.

You are planning to add the OEM tailgate power lock harness but the topper has no locking mechanism? If so, then there is no reason to factor that piece in.

A cargo off bed light T and brake off brake T is the pick for 2020+ who have bed light connectors right there.

I did recently get feedback that I ought to make the bed T arm shorter so I might adjust the design slightly based on that.
