2017 Tacoma SR5 V6 2WD 119,000 Miles. I've had a front "click" sound coming from my front suspension since at least 50,009 miles. I only hear the click when I'm traveling low speeds going over speed jumps, approaching a steep driveway, etc. I've read a lot of threads talking about bolts to replace, but it looks like a lot of those commenters have beefed up suspension components. I'm running stock suspension SR5. Here's a video (sound didn't come out as clear as I had hoped). Any suggestions?

Thanks. The links in that post seem to be broken.

Do the front lower strut bolts have bearings or spacers on them? Or are they literally just bolts sitting in a hole?

Bolts sitting in a metal sleeve, the sleeves are held in place with a rubber bushing

Mods can you merge this thread with the other thread I made? I posted twice by accident.

Also interested in bolt sizes because the old links posted in other threads have expired.

I just did my brake springs today. Added two and replaced two so 4 total. I only saw one of the old ones, it looked like 1/3 of the size bigger. The other spring I never saw, I pulled the pin out and it disappeared into thin air. This also seemed to reduce my noises and creaks.

I think I may have to replace the rear bolts as well.

    Thanks for the info.

Did you have to take the shock absorber off to slip the new bolt through? Like, when you remove the existing bolt, does the tension of the coil spring pop the bottom of the shock out of alignment with the bolt hole? Or, do you just simply pop the old one out and slip the new one in?

Well, you lift the truck up and release the tension, then pull the bolt and slide a new one in. I tapped it out with a screwdriver and rubber mallet.

I gotta say. This noise and the brake clip rattle, happened at the same time. I’ve tightened up everything, skid plates, bumper pieces, fogs. I still think it’s coming out of the rear also. I just greased the squeak outta my leaf springs. I bet it was a week of quiet ride.

I have had this exact noise on my 2017 for 100K miles now. No mechanic can ever find a problem. No idea what it is
