    I would start your own thread on the issue. Probably get more traction that way, and not clog this thread up.

    That said Id start simple, look for a loose heat shield(s) or exhaust fitting

    Almost all of the diffs (except ones running a higher pinion "regear" for aftermarket purposes) run 75w-90, and yes you will look for the one with LS additive but not 100% necessary.

    It doesn't look like @BlackBeerd is around anymore and won't likely see this, but thanks all the same. I was putting together a spreadsheet with all the maintenance data I want to do when I found this thread. It's nice to have everything organized, down to the torque specs.

    We're looking at buying a Casita travel trailer to tow behind my 2008 TRD Sport AT w/tow package. I work from home and don't drive the truck very much, so maintenance has been basic. Now that we're going to tow, I want to go through the whole truck and get it ready. I plan to do all of these myself with the possible exception of the transmission flush. It has around 100k miles at this point.

    My maintenance list so far includes these;
    • Differential oil change
    • Power Steering flush
    • Coolant flush
    • Oil Change
    • Brake flush
    • Transmission flush (likely have dealer do this so they can do a complete flush)
    • Grease driveshaft
    • Spark plugs
    • PCV replacement
    • Cabin air filter
    • Engine air filter
    The tires are fairly new. I know the steering rack leaks and needs to be replaced. After watching a video, I think I'll pay someone to do that job. If anyone has other suggestions, I'd like to hear them.

    I recently replaced (as it was needed) the ignition coils, (Amazon sells OEM) which was not difficult at all. I cleaned the Mass Air Flow sensor with specific MAF cleaner while doing all this as well. Any issues (age) with front bearings? There's a guy on here who sells 'em (the entire bearing assembly...great price and quality) and I did those myself as well. With your brake flush, how are your shoes & pads? I'm not a mechanic by any means and it did take a while with all these, but hey, you'll save a ton of money and get some satisfaction of doing it yourself. I like to err on the side of positive responses to offer help, you may get some from the others who don't, so...anyway, best wishes to you on your maintenance jobs!
