Sucks this thread stopped. lol i remeber reading this thing and yours @Torspd till 3-4am then waking up and going to work reeling about it going down.

im proud to say it was a huge inspiration and i did end up buying the URD kit and have settled nicely into the stage 2 life with a couple additional mods.

With a stage 2 pulley and deleting CATs im pushing 13.5psi at rev limit and she flat screams. It will indeed pull a 4.0L. I also leaned out the cruise fuel map and regained all of my “lost” mpg after the install. I sit about 17.3mpg after tuning.

Parts are all purchased to do a totally unsupported version of what ill call lol the SSCUSTOMS stage 3 rotrex kit. This will push the boost up to appx 17 psi which actually doesnt interest me much at this point because i know the valve train wont like it. So for now i have a 928motorsports boost limiting valve that im starting out at 11psi to see how the truck responds to earlier boost then ill end up creeping it back up to the 13s to see what that does. Hopefully the pretty red valve cover stays in place

You going with a 70mm pulley or what's the plan? I too am very happy with the stage 2 rotrex on my 2TR-FE, but im interested in seeing what you do to yours.

This looks great, what kind of paint did you use and did you use adhesion promoter as well?

Anxious to see what you come up with. What kind of upgrades are you going to be throwing on it?

Also, here is a good thread to jump into and follow. Plus, your contributions will be good for others to follow along with.

I wasnt actually sure what kind of paint to use... its composite.. so plastic paint... but wait, all the high heat plastic paint isnt really for engine high heat... i used actual high heat engine block paint an exacto and blue masking tape.

the black wasnt masked off. It was a second paint job which is a pearl sparkle black color

    A thing or two...
How long have you been running the URD kit? Seems like you see more posts of people having their Rohrer chargers die than people running the kits for any length of time.

Ive had it installed on stage 2 for appx 3months of hard use and about 5k miles. Its still pretty fresh. Im curious if the ones that are blowing up are paying attention to the note about checking oil level at 3000rpm and placing the supercharger above the rest of the oil system so the SC oil is in constant suction. Those were pretty big bold notes direct from Rotrex.

Ive definitely wondered about longevity as well. My plan if something happens was to step up to the C38 and run a big pulley to step down the internal wear if the rpm is the actual cause of failures.

I also wonder about proper BOF and recirc function. Cuz if its not working proper that little arbor on the SC is under some intense stress not being able to stutututu backwards or burp pressure. Some kits ive seen had negated the recirculation valve which is pretty important. Ive run into a couple issues even with the recirc working. It seems like the recirc should pass through the intercooler so cold air enters the SC instead of cavitating in hot air. It gets hot fast under high rpm and manifold in vacuum

I used to run a MAPECU3 on my turbo 2TR Tacoma and it never ran right. I ditched that and went with a haltech elite 1500 and a boomslang adapter harness

Got a lot of stuff lol
I'm pretty sure when I ran my mapecu3 I didn't have it wired correctly so I'm pretty sure I was just making the stock ecu handle 7psi lol. It was lean from time to time.

Mine ran nice and rich, but as soon as you’d drive on the hwy for 30mins or more the stock ecu would freak out and start dumping fuel. I think it was AFR adjust related. So glad to have been able to remove the stock ecu from the equation
