My 2013 tacoma has developed a knocking sound from the bed. I have tightened the screws but still makes unusual sounds. Looking for advice.

When does the bed make this sound? When you drive or when you park?

The knocking sounds come when driving. I checked the fender wells and it may come from there as they are loose, cut only on the top connections which are not screws but another type of connectors, I am going to put in New ones today and will let you know if it works

Sorry to hear of your troubles....not sure if you've checked but a number of folks have found their spare tire is loose when they have described these sounds. Worth a quick check....work smart not hard! Good Luck

It's the mounting bolt, it appears that the bed has worn and needs a spacer between the frame mount and the bed. Thanks everyone

Did you install the spacer and did the sound go away?

Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, Front Bed Rail Cargo Net and hooks, Auto-Dim mirror w/Compass and outside Temperature display, TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification, WeatherTech floor liners f/r. (winter) OEM All-Weather floor mats (summer).
The clips at the top of the fender liners were all loose, broken or missing when I got my truck. (104k) None of the normal push-in center clips I tried fit tight enough to stop the rattling and I have a few of all of them. (or so I thought) I ended up resorting to the push-in tree type clips. I don't really care for them, because they can be a bear to remove. They have held on tight since and haven't moved for 34k miles. All the rattles have gone away.

The front wheel well splash curtains can also get loose and flap around. The fabric slowly wears out around the clips and lets go. (but leaves the clips behind) The only real cure is to replace the two curtains on each side. There are better quality alternatives to the fragile OEM ones.
