I'm looking to add a cheap option for heated seats and just wanted to see if anybody had some positive feedback on something. Obviously I would love to get heated Katskins or something like that but it doesn't seem like the best place to put my money currently!

I guess I just wonder about something that works as expected and doesn't shift around or become a nuisance?

Depends on your definition of "cheap." I added aftermarket leather all around with heated front from a local custom shop for less than katskinz and LOVE them. Well worth it in the PNW. Really classes up my pavement princess daily driver.

I bought a carbon fiber heating element kit off Amazon for ~$50 six years ago as the wife likes heated seats. I finished just the passenger seat as install was a real PITA with removing the factory seat covers and re-installing them. It continues to work, heats up relatively quickly. The kit I bought is no longer sold on Amazon.

Here's a great install and write-up (although it's on a 2nd gen the 3rd gen is very similar.)

The factory heated seats suck. Only bottom and back heat together. As a man I only enjoyed back heat from my subarus. Don't want bottom heat at all.

I love my Amazon cheapest. I installed them on top of factory seats and put Clazzios on top of the pads. They came with a different style switch but looks fine to me. 20230830_182915.jpg Two years and loving them.
