Great post!! Glad I found this. I am starting to really look into getting new uca since my oem one are showing their age at 145k in new england. As stuff has been aging I just upgrade it. Ive already got 6112s set at 2/1, when I do get aftermarket uca I will lift the front to 3/2. I wasnt to sure about SPC but I love that they are on the lower price scale and are reliable. I also didnt know they were Light racing before. Great stuff.

    Stock-ish
Update, 35s do not fit without tubbing or using a bumpstop spacer (wack). Tires cram the entire inner fender and firewall to the point of bending the whole inner fender and cracking it.

But are the stock UCA's enough to correct the camber when you lift?

Glad I stumbled on this thread. Great info. I’m new to the lifting thing. I’ve spent a good amount of hours reading and watching videos.

After running with and without UCAs on lifted Toyotas, from now on I will always upgrade the UCAs. It’s just a better overall driving experience. If you’re only doing a small 1” lift then I wouldn’t worry about it, but 2+ I would highly recommend.

What brand of tire did you find in a 255/85R17? That would be close to the equivalent of 34 if anything, the MT Bajas are showing 34.4 but I wonder how accurate that is? I was looking at 35x10.5R17 Kenda Klever RTs for a skinny 35.

So you don't need to find an alignment expert with SPC UCA's?

Ideally I’d want a 2” lift with your tire size. I’m debating if I’d want a 16” or 17” wheel size. Did you end up having to do the CMC?

No CMC with a 265/70/17. That was with Bilstein 6112s set at modest 3&4 settings. 17x9 -25 wheel specs.

Would be amazing if I could get SPC that were reliable. Three sets in 13 months due to x-axis fails and slack ball joints

I need more camber adjustability in my 2021 TRD Pro. I'm at the camber adjustment limit on the passenger side and still have about 1 degree of positive camber. Caster is 2.6 deg and 0 deg toe. It drives fine but I'm getting more wear on the outside edge of that tire than I would like. The truck is stock but was in an accident front and rear. The front driver corner and rear passenger corners are one inch higher than the other corners. That said, it is still rectangular. I might try to get that addressed but in the mean time I'd like to dial in the wheel alignment.

Is the SPC UCA my best bet for adjustability? I'm, happy with the OEM TRD Pro Fox suspension.

My truck is lifted approximately 2.25" in front and rear. Before upgrading my UCAs, the steering tracked bad on the highways and things just felt off, no matter how much the alignment tech tried to get it right. After upgrading to JBAs and giving increased caster, my truck drives the way it should on the highway and overall experience is much better. Can I fit bigger tires with these? Not really without spacers or negative offset wheels. There's always a tradeoff I guess.

The Freedom Offroad Billet UCAs looked ideal. I was one click away from ordering them when I found these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGR6P4KK?ref=fed_asin_title&th=1. Yes, they are Chinese clones but half the price of the Freedom Offroad units. And they are RED. I'll report back on the results. Certainly a roll of the dice.

Sounds like you really need to address some other issues. Is your spindle/knuckle bent? Get a freind and do some measurements on the frame. Start with the straight part of rails under cab do cross measurement x from same points. If good work your way front then rear . This will help you determine if there is a Dimond in frame or if it is bent from accident.

I got all the diagrams and measurements for the frame and measured and the specified points with a plumb bob and Lazer. It isn't diamonded at all, just two opposite corners up by one inch.

The accident was a straight on front and rear. It had body armor and fab 4 plate bumpers that were barely scratched but the other cars lifted the bumpers more towards the corners.

Buying a totaled insurance vehicle is always a roll of the dice but I ended up with a fully armored, low milage TRD Pro for less than half of market price.
