    If your truck is stock, these components "should not" be illuminated:
    4x4 switch, mirror adjuster switch, door + window lock buttons, I/P dimmer switch, the power converter button (orange and green LED's illuminate when activated only) and the fog light switch just stays illuminated with the fogs being on or off with only one type of brightness.

    Ok....went to Toyota again and got more info. All letters next to the shifter should light up. If they don't you have a burnt bulb. Doesn't matter what year/model. The guy said if you take the time to rip it apart, buy the green bulb cover too because it is usually melted. I'll get part numbers and post later.

    The A/C button is also lit, but the bulb that lights it (actually there are two) lights the entire portion of the dash where that button is, so the three dials above the A/C button, etc. If your A/C button isn't lit, check to see, but I'll bet the dial above that is dark too. That will be a fun one to replace by the way...oh, and those two bulbs are $14 each! Nice.
