The splines where the same but the length of the axle shafts were not.

When I bought the Kings they came with an adapter for regular tacomas but the holes were sized just enough for them to bolt into mine. The shock was too long and needs the shorter rod end as well as possibly a flat spring perch. This wouldn't be possible unless I had better upper control arms to clear. I have the shorter rod ends but I'm currently working on finishing up all the little details with the turbo.

I had/still have a set of spring perches but at the time I didn't have the means to get them welded. BTW I didn't transfer the 3rd member. I unbolted my 5 lug axle and leafs and swapped them with a complete 6 lug e-locker axle and spring over leafs. So 6 lug rear and 5 lug front (until i make a set of spindles)

As for the shocks I'm going mid travel and as nice as the shocks are they are not king 2.5's with remote reservoirs.

That's cool and all but I already bought the Kings and they were pretty cheap used. Eventually I'll redo the rear shocks with Kings as well but I'm waiting on that because I'm going to put the shocks through the bed.

So I haven't posted in this thread in a while. I'm still running the same suspension as the end of the op. It runs great and is lots on fun on and off road. The turbo was also fun but in my learning and getting it dialed in I hurt my engine. I'm pretty sure there something going on in the head and decided instead of rebuilding a 4 cly why not add 4 more.

    I'll be going from this
    IMG_20191002_134100_507.jpg

    To this

    IMG_20191009_105609_727.jpg

I would like to keep this thread more based around suspension so I made a new thread covering the 1uzfe swap

Sorry for reviving an old thread Fury but would you still recommend a front spacer lift today? Considering our slug options are limited and TC UCAs are now discontinued.

Yup I will always suggest the 3" ebay spacers unless your crazy like me and cut you're suspension off and add a front axle for 4wd.

really want to get my single cab to look close to yours. Could you ELI5 what setup this was?

Front lift, rear lift, wheel and tire size? Again old thread but this is such an awesome look and I don't wanna kill my truck doing too much to it!

That's pretty much achievable with the leveling kit. Those are 33s and did rub so I would probably suggest 32s. The wheels were cragar soft 8s with a -13mm offset and a 4" backspace.

Gotcha man, researching a making a list, so for that exact time you didn't even have anything on the back? It looks super far off the ground? And wow, the progress and where you are now is crazy lol

I'm sure you're off for the night but here's what I came up with:
Is this similar to what you had on yours? If you could give me the tire dimensions too that would be awesome, I love the sidewall ratio as well as the width as yours, but assuming this is probably close. A noob to this stuff so I appreciate the patience. I'd rather this be smoother and just be ready to be "plug and play" lol

My 33s and 35s have all been 12.5" wide.

You WILL need to to do the black box mod (easy) as well as roll over your pinch weld (also easy).

As far as suspensions, yeah that's about right you will need longer shocks in the rear and I suggest changing the front too since you're a 07. For the front the Bilstein 4600s meant for 5 lugs is good and for the rear Bilstien 5100s meant for a stock 6 lug work well. Also worth noting the truck will drive slower with stock gearing and the 4cly

I'm back lol. Finally getting more serious about this now.

Looking for a final set of advice on everything before I buy it all:

    Fat Bobs 5 Lug Lift
    • 2.75 inch Front Spacer
    • 1.75 inch Rear Add a Leaf
4600 Front Shocks - are these strictly the only two options? For left and right?
    5100 Rear Shocks
    • Now is this where any 5100 rear pair will work?? Or do I need a specific set?
    Wheels & Tires
    • Looking to fit 32/11.5/R15 since you suggested 32s. Does this seem reasonable with just the 2.75" I'm going with? Need to do black box mod and roll over as well like you said before.
    • Cragar Soft 8s w/ -13mm offset and 4" backspace (still not sure on these)
