I have a 2008 Tacoma, and I'm looking for a straight "drop in" module or window switches if they exist. Straight "plug and play" like the overhead temp/compass mod.

Prefer to NOT have to chop up my door panel, but that it looks like it came from the factory with this capability.

Do you know if it's just a different switch, and can the ones from a crew cab be installed in an access cab? (i.e. only 2 switches for the two (front) door windows.)

I had this same idea take a 4 door switch and remove the buttons for the two rear and plug it in and see but I haven't had the funds or time to, if I ever do i'll let you guys know how it goes!

Not sure if this will work on your 2008, but it worked just fine on my 2015.

I’ve never seen anyone do that
It’s much more complicated on the 2 window trucks
