Hi, I recently received a set of toytec lift coilovers and TC uniball UCAs and wanted to do a budget “mid travel” setup with my 1st gen. One of the toytec coilovers was blown and I found out they don’t make rebuild kits for them so after finding that out I decided to start looking into getting other coilovers however I can’t afford the fancy kings or fox shocks for my rig. I was looking into 5100s but am concerned about how stiff it would be (I ideally am trying to fit 33s or 32.5s) I was also looking into FOA 2.0 x 6” coilovers since I have the top hats to fit to my truck and was wondering if anyone had any input on next steps. Thanks!

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Welcome to TW... so first off, stay away from FOA, by the time you get anything working reasonably from them you'll have spent the same as getting good parts.

Let's start with what your budget is, and how firm is it?

Good to know lol, I’d ideally like to keep it under a grand but know to a degree that can be difficult.

Optimal ride quality due to tunability and rebuildable for long last.

Bilstein 6112 front and 5160 rears (or 5100s to fit your budget) are excellent value for money before stretching to rebuildable shocks like Kings
