Looking for an alternator for an ‘04 5VZFE. No heavy load just some LED pods used occasionally for backing up (on toggle switch). I know people will say just buy a Denso etc but I am really trying to pinch pennies on this. So what’s my lowest cost option? There are no viable options at junk yards within a reasonable distance? Appreciate it!

You can check RockAuto to check alternator options.

Best bet would to buy from your local auto parts distributor for their lifetime warranty. You can pay 1/4~1/2 off from online vendor but will have issue or long turn around when trying to place a warranty.

I know Oreilly has a 20% off online order for transaction over $100. Code

If your alternator is the factory one, it can be rebuilt for a reasonable cost, and it's not that hard.
