Finally got the C4 fender liners from what will probably be my last order from Tacoma Lifestyle. Decided to add the Ark splash guards as well.

Didn't want to chop the fenders too much right now and these are overkill right now so I did a slight chop keeping most of the original profile. 35's are in the cards for a future upgrade so I figured why not just get the main portion installed now and just leave the extra chopping for later.

Was going to add these down the road but with the possibility of increased tariffs on imports from our neighbors up north, decided to throw on the Greenlane Offroad sliders. Easy install and some really solid construction and welding.

First part of a stereo upgrade. Alpine speaker, amp, and sub kit from Trail Grid Pro.

Never hated the OEM Alpine system in previous couple of Jeeps and this doesn't disappoint as well. Pretty great kit that they put together too, the main harness makes this install super easy and the recommended settings are a good starting point with the stock head unit.

Total TW trap mod right here. Anderson Engineering intake runner extension. It's claim to move the torque peak further down in the RPM range piqued my interest. After about 50 miles of varied on street driving, I do notice some difference. It's slight right now and not sure how long the OTT tune will take to adjust but it is one more (small) drivability increase that I'm not upset I did.

Interesting, that's the first I've heard of these intake manifold spacers. Seems like it would interfere with the tune, but I dunno.

I'm definitely not a knowledgeable authority there but I have read that the ECU and custom tunes self adjust to some engine mods. This one did send me down quite the rabbit hole, this is the thread that started it for me.

    Beautiful build you got there!

I also have a Off-Road 6MT Taco and I got OTT. I wanted to see if you wouldn't mind sharing how much it cost or how complicated it was to get this done yourself. I got a Medium tune and brought it down to Mild but I wanted to see if I can put it back to Medium for a while and would love to do this myself.

Thanks! She has been treating me pretty well so far.

Overall the self tune process isn't that complicated if you are used to dealing with software that has some quirks with documentation. Cost was $399 for vF Tuner (included the OBD II dongle, VIN unlock, and software). The tune files from OTT were $325. All in, I think it's more expensive this way but I was/am interested in learning more about engine tuning in general and also wanted the freedom to switch between the different throttle levels without having to schedule a meet up with a tuner as I mod the truck further.

These are some of the threads I went through when researching:

Thanks! Hoping to find some time to get some of these things that have been sitting on the shelf for far too long done.
