Anyone have any idea why this switch has less amperage for intermittent draw vs continuous draw? (455A intermittent vs 600A continuous) Was looking at installing this to my new OpenRoad 13,500k winch that’s has max draw at 320A at full load. Would it be smart to just invest in the Blue Sea switch?

It's an Amazon listing, you can't fully trust the specs/descriptions they list. I constantly run into spec problems with Amazon. Often when measurements are given they list the measurements of the box it comes in and not the item. Or they don't list the specs at all.

I went with the Lambtek kit in the link above.

Just run your leads straight from the battery. There is less of a path of electrical resistance doing so, vs sticking a cutoff switch between the battery and the winch. That’s what I do. Nothing is going to short out unless you crash the front end, and then it’s ’effed anyway.

I like the idea of a shut off - due to the past presence of little people at my house and garage. Kiddo's love to experiment.......
