Little Green Knob Under the Hood

    There is a little green knob under the hood (see the picture) and I need help understanding it, please. It says Evap Service Port and cautions to hand tighten only.

    What is it and what does it do?
    How is it used?

    That is for the EVAP system, you've probably heard of the "smoke test." You'd apply pressure at that point to test for leaks in the evap system.
