Removed all the factory speakers replaced with Infinity reference as well as a custom subwoofer box built by Marv. (Found Marv through these forums) Marv is the man his subwoofer boxes are very well made and sound awesome. Put 2 10" Infiniti DVC subs running at 1 ohm and my 30-year-old soundstream amp running all five channels. So nice cruising now with good tunes.PXL_20250308_215016618.MP.jpg

Agreed. I’m much more of a fan of this look. Two-tone wheels remind me of the somewhat short-lived trend of combining multiple shades of denim into one garment.

I feel you man! I got these for $500. Some guy posted them on CL last night, he upgraded wheels on his 4Runner. I couldn’t say no to that price plus the tires.

Yes, for the most part, basically anything that has fluid/oil in it with moving parts has a breather vent, or it could/would build up to much pressure and cause leak(s)...

Go to reply number #17, thanks to Steventura86 for more details as to wear it is located... But pretty much always on top somewhere or fluid would leak out... lol

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-diff-transfer-case-and-auto-transmission-breathers.480713/

He also made a video and posted it in reply #19...

I love the old IMQ infinity speakers. I still have my 10 inch ones like that too.
How well do they fit behind the seat? looks like they fit actually pretty decent.

I see it in his video. Now, to figure out how to remove/inspect the breather. I think I need this inspection, maybe a breather replacement.

Well, fudge. My lower shock bolts from 303 shock services were supposed to be delivered today. USPS claims they put it in the mailbox, but it's not there. :annoyed:

I hear ya, I got my Pro grill in last Monday after the just 2 days shy of a month (total time) waiting for one part to show up and well, the corner of the box was damaged/opened and the 2 small parts were missing (fell out), the grill was/is good, but the Taco Suskit Bracket for $1.61 and the back ordered Front Bumper/Grille For Cap/Connector Housing for $10.80 were both missing, I'm just glad the grill is OK, didn't even report the other 2 parts were missing, right now in my life, not even worth the effort to deal with it... lol

Not Taco related, but blown seals are a big risk with tractors that are equipped with MFWD (mechanical front wheel drive). Lots of aftermarket kits for those that want breathers/vents.

Finally got to swapping out the needle bearing for the ECGS bushing. I "knew" it was the problem, but the idea of breaking into everything felt a bit nerve wracking.
All done, all bolted back up. Did a full front diff oil change with factory Toyota fluid. The vibes are gone. Feels so good to have that sorted out now. You could see the weird wear pattern on the drive shaft. Old needle bearing will be a nice desk paperweight now.
Took off my winters and put on my factory rims/KO2's. Did the rear diff breather tube, and put on Demon front D-Ring/shackle brackets.

Just so you know those shackle brackets are just for looks or towing your truck out of a mall parking lot.
If you attempt a high energy recovery with them you run the very real risk of ripping them off.
