I know Goose Gear is a popular company in the Overland world, but I have a problem with paying $3500k for a drawer system and seat delete. I know there's quite alot of tacoma owners that I know probably want to do this but not risk messing up. My goal is to get those afraid motivated.

So as I stated, im going to add the Homemade "Goose Gear" to here as well as my Truck Build Thread on Tacomaworld.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/goodys-typical-mall-crawler-long-travel-build.812180/page-5

Today was big work, got all the materials in and started measuring and everything. I was able to finish the frame prior to aluminum frame before I had to call it a night.

I have some blueprints, ill post if yall want me to. Just on every measurement minus 1 inch. I made a rookie mistake and forgot to account for exterior.

After this project ill be making a Homemade "Goose Gear" system for the GFC Camper. Or just the Short Bed Tacoma in general.

I Sound Proofed the Rear as well since the full back panel has been removed, used reflectic material and 1/2in sound foam. Was extremely sticky.

I've got the noico stuff in the back of my access cab. Super easy to work with, and makes a big difference. Still..... Still noisy back there lol

Ok made some changes, didnt like how tight it was within the cab. So basically redid the whole skeleton. This feels much better. It has been slow though. Because we'll I drilled through my thumb. But within the next couple days I will have it wrapped up.

Hell yeah, looking good man. Hopefully the thumb will heal soon and you'll be able to finish off the build. My only suggestion thus far, have you thought about possibly somehow attaching a hinge of some sort, or a kinda false/hidden roll up access point to the tall back portion, with the MOLLE and holding the ar pistol? I'm sure it'll be well hidden once finished, but it could be helpful to be able to have some sorta OH SHIT quick access or emergency get to that thing NOW access point.

    Looks super good man!

I have the full rear seat delete from goose gear and just seeing that sound deadening material gives me flash backs because I did the same thing and it was such a pain the butt haha.

Cant wait to see the finished product!

    Today's update:

I still need to do the lower sides, and build the drawer itself but the HDPE was the best idea I had, then to top it off with the Hydro Foam just seals the deal. Its allt of work but its coming together.

Well here's the finished product, I do wish the HDPE was Textured black, ill just remember to order it for the rear. I think there's a few little things I could do but really its a solid platform.

Wow. That is hands down the most impressive thing I’ve seen someone custom build/install around here.

If I didn’t already have the full rear seat delete installed in my truck, I would pay you to build a carbon copy of yours! So well thought out, that’s incredible work.
