    Last week my 2019 touch screen started randomly rebooting. In doing so everything is cut off, including phone calls, navigation, and of course music. I'm hoping someone has heard of this and might know a fix without heading to the dealership.

    Mine will do a hard reboot randomly like that but its only happened like a handful of times over 4 years. Usually it has happened on long road trips after hours of using carplay. I've assumed it to just be a software bug.

    How often is yours doing this?

    Mine has done that since year 1. Tends to happen during rain. Weird. I never bothered to address it.

    Usually caused by either a bad ground, you can pull the radio and clean all the plugs with dioxide spray. Or might need a software update, usually dealer has to do it unless you can download the file to a USB stick and install it yourself. A hard reset of the radio located in settings but it deletes all info on the radio. Worst case is the radio has a cold solder joint or bad ribbon connection and if it continues you will spend more then a replacement from a wrecking yard.

    FWIW - and I'm not completely sure about this - when I've experienced HU reboots in my 22 TRD Sport, I think it was somehow related to the use of Android Auto.
    Anyway, I find myself from time to time rebooting the HU manually when I cannot get my phone to connect to AA.

    Put your VIN in on this site and see if there is newer Entune firmware for your unit.

    Try updating the firmware. The files and instructions are in the link below.

    It reboots every few minutes. Maybe 10 minutes at best.

    It stops me from using navigation, the phone, really everything. If it was a rare thing, I could deal with it, but it's every few minutes.

    Where did you get the updated maps SD card? Try switching back to the original factory maps SD card and see if the rebooting stops.

    HU = Head Unit.

    I would pull the Head Unit (fairly easy to do) and verify that the plugs are inserted well in the sockets on the radio. A loose one that supplies power could be a problem.
    Could be wiring, but also could be a motherboard issue. Could even be an encoder problem (the one on the left for ON/OFF and Volume).
