Vehicle OCD center console divider, tray, and glove box organizer for 4th Gen Tacoma

I didn't get one for my new truck. It looks nice. But really just gets in the way.

 

It’s true, the thing is pretty bulky. It does corral the five inch tall stack of books and pamphlets and stuff, though. Otherwise, they’re just kind of…in there, floating around.

I found it rather odd that I didn’t get one. Of the probably dozen vehicles I’ve owned, the Tacoma is the only one I’ve had that didn’t come with a folio to corral the papers. Hell, even the dumpy cars like my Ford Escort and Dodge Caravan had them. They weren’t nice — just vinyl and cardboard boxes with a flap on top to keep things from falling out — but they were there.

 

Dunno if you want to go this route, but all that stuff, registration, and my PPF/tint warranty fit into one compartment in this divider:

 

Might work! I just emailed my sales guy and he said he can dig up a folio for me. I just have to haul my butt across town to go get it. I'll just use it as an excuse to stop by parts and get an oil filter and sealing washer.

If the folio works out, great! If not, I can try a divider. I'll have my cake and eat it too!

As the project rolled out we discovered the center console in the gas Tacoma is deeper than the center console in the iFORCE MAX hybrid. Unfortunately that limits using the console divider and tray together in the hybrid models. Here are the notes on compatibility of the organizer products.

Not compatible with hybrid Tacoma? Ummm… that’s like 1/2 of production now.

 

The center console is half as deep in the hybrid. The issue is the divider and tray can not be used together in the hybrid. Either can be used separately in the hybrid. The glove box organizer works with gas and hybrid.
