Heyo, my parents recently gifted me a 2013 2wd AC long bed with the 2.7L for my college graduation. We all acknowledge that for me this will just be an "intermediate" truck before I can get the one I really want (2nd gen double cab long bed 4x4 with the 6-cyl). In the meantime, since this truck has the bed style and generation that I want, I want to start the process of building it out for camping/short term living.

My goal is to essentially build everything in the list below for this truck, but in such a way that I can easily rip it out and put it in a different truck later (and also NOT put any holes in this 2013 that aren't already there). Interested in seeing what you guys have/have seen for this sorta unique situation.

    List of additions I'd like:

    - 12V dual battery system (no solar right now, but leave the option open for it later)
    - includes topper interior lights, diesel heater, future fridge, USB plugs for charging devices
    - full-width drawer/sleeping platform system (preferably 2 drawers with access panels for in front/behind wheel humps for 12V system parts
    - sealing the topper to prevent leaks (I have the end-goal topper for me - Leer 180 with sliding windoors)
    - carpeting and installing interior lights in topper (not truck related, but on my todo list)
    - water tank/pump system would be cool, but is more of a want than a need
    - debating my need for a rack on the cab since it's not my "final form" (AC instead of DC), but thoughts?

Just curious what's out there, thank you all!

I don't have anything to add that's helpful.

But congratulations on graduating college.

My advice is keep the regular cab and solid axle swap it when you have the money, or do a sick PreRunner build with some long travel.

I’d suggest windoors on the topper
I prefer the aluminum work style with full length doors on all sides, but having some access from the sides is really nice
