I'm running OBD Fusion and trying to get the transmission temp reading. So far I've tried this (from here):

    OBD2 Mode and PID: 2182
    Minimum Value: 0.0
    Maximum value: 300.0
    Scale factor: x1
    Unit Type: °F
    Equation: ((((A*256)+B) * (7/100) – 400)/10)

    No dice.

Anyone get the trans temp on the Torque or OBD Fusion app?

I'm checking out Car Scanner and can get trans temp graph readout. Haven't yet fiddled around to tweak display or other details.

Can you get both trans temps?

i'm pretty sure 4th gen only has pan temperature, not also torque converter temperature sensor.

While I do not have a 4th gen.
I paid for the Toyota expansion pack for my second gen. OBD Fusion. Included was trans temp. Already programmed and selectable in the menu.

Don’t know if it is that way on the 4th gen. But it was only like another $15 or so for the expansion pack.

I would but A, I'm not sure it would work (says only 2021) and B, I'm not sure i can get refunded. If someone could vouch for one of those, I'll give it a try.

I stopped using OBD Fusion because it did not have that pack available for the fourth gen. And now car scanner app has that sensor available for free. Or 1x $8 for ad free if you're not cheap like me.

Does it have custom sensor panels?

I got an old Samsung tablet and mount in the cap to display.

I only just started using it and haven't had time to pick it apart. Just download it, it's free, and you can play with it.
