Gotta replace the CV axles and wheel bearings on my truck. I came across this set from extreme terrain:

    https://www.extremeterrain.com/taco...b-assembly-set-csa64083.html#customer_q_and_a

Reviews are nice, plus they say the wheel bearings improved to handle up to 35 inch tires, which looks appealing as I have 34 inch tires.

The other set I found is this one from TRQ:

    https://www.partsgeek.com/74nz1bv-t...pL_rlx_UkpVefaqX8dX0XXpO0MNJuD2RoC9YYQAvD_BwE

The first set is $505, while the second set is $355. The $150 difference gives me concern that the cheaper set is junk. But I do like the price. Anyone have any experience with either of these? All recommendations are welcome. Thanks

I think those “upgrades the wheel bearing to handle 35’s” are marketing ploys.
I had to do the same and this is what I came to based on my research.
if your OEM Cv axles are fine, and relatively low milage, reboot them. OEM is the best quality.
If they are toast, I would go CVJ- they are remanufactured OEM. So similar quality.

For the wheel bearings, we have a forum vendor that has great quality, that where I got mine. lots of great reviews on longevity.

    Good luck:thumbsup:

Wheel bearings i used is bluepitbearings. All oem.. I have extended cv axles because the boots kept ripping on mine. There are extended boot mods and you can lower the diff to solve. I did neither. https://www.buyautoparts.com/buynow/90-93126-2d# is a link to the type of cv I bought. I believe only one manufacturer makes theses.. I have had no problems with them and wish I did it sooner

So, I purchased a set of these. They showed up with damage on both. I contacted buyautoparts, and they were really quick to get me another set shipped out to me. The second shows up, and again, both have damage. What is going on here? Seems like they got damaged in shipping, both times. I don't want to think this is normal, but 4 cv axles all with the same damage? I'm ready to shop for something else. Please tell me you didn't experience this. 20250903_184622.jpg 20250903_184312.jpg 20250827_171231.jpg 20250827_171150.jpg

I did experience this!! I just got some money off and bought oem seals. I bought mine from ebay I think... they were really tough to get a hold of when I needed them, so I kept them and just used oem seals.. I think oem is better anyway..

Shitty packaging. And shitty shipping and handling.
That's what causes that.... Nothing else, nothing more.

Mostly it's the packaging. As anyone in business should know, the shipping company could care less about the contents of a package.
And the loop holes they put you through to file a claim are a joke.
