Next time you change your oil switch to a Fumoto valve.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Unfortunately not, because of the stories on here, every time I do my oil change I check-out the DIY oil change thread everytime. I'm paranoid after the stories about this happening.

This reminds me of my friend. He foud out I taught one friend how to change his oil over the phone, so he decides he wants to do the same. He calls me and gets the step by step directions. The next night he calls me and says "ok I added the new oil, now what did you say I have to do to remove the old oil?"

We all make mistakes and learn from them. I put brake fluid in my steering box and vice versa.

You know it sure would help if Toyota labeled the pans "transmission" and "oil". I know that might sound lame to some of you guys, but I bet this happens a whole lot more than people think, and not just to DIYers, but also to absent minded techs at oil change places.
