I bought a 2008 TRD Off road and my low beams and brake lights are always on. The knob on the light switch does nothing when I turn it. The turn signals and high beams work properly. I'm guessing the previous owner wired something in the truck to make the low beams DRLs.

I've done some reading and found

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/1475-05-drl-daytime-running-lights-install-oem.html

which will make my turn signals DRLs, I'd much rather have this than the low beams always on.

Was wondering if anyone has any idea what the previous owner did to the low beams and how I could rectify it before installing the above kit?

    Thanks.
