Hafa Adai! For those of you who are not familiar with the phrase, it is pronounced "Hoffa Day" and it means Hello. Similar to Aloha. So you lived here for six years? Military? Those were the days when you can jam pack the back of a pickup truck and stroll around the island!!! Fun fun fun! We still do that but the laws are a bit more strict now so we usually end up just partying at the beaches and BBQ'n till evening time and playing football on the beach. That's a typical weekend for me. TUBA is great stuff but it's not really my cup of tea. I'll settle for Coronas. Red rice, chicken kelaguen, finadene (pronounced "Finuhdenny" is a dipping sauce that's great for almost everything), and all the other great tasting local dishes. Ahh..mouth is watering:hungry::drool:. You should definitely come back for a vacation. A lot has changed since 1983. Guam Community College is still here. It is a pretty good school. I'm from the village of Dededo right by the NCTS (NCTAMS back then) and I'm born and raised here. I do a lot of work on the Naval base because of my job but don't live on base. Glad to see a lot of feedback about people's experiences with Guam. A lot of people don't really know much about the island.

Thanks for the welcome. Next time you land on Guam, you should stay a while. Enjoy the island a bit.
